I make a smoothie for breakfast every morning. They take less than 5 minutes to make, are easy and are nutritious; perfect for my grab and go kind of mornings.

To get the most flavor and nutrients into your smoothies, don’t take up space with ice. Instead use frozen fruit or portion out your own fruit (berries or bananas are good choices) and keep them in the freezer for instant access. You can also give it a boost by adding in protein powder, seeds (chia, flax) and vitamin mixes.

My favorite is a Sweet Cherry Smoothie. The recipe is below.

Sweet Cherry Smoothie

1 cup Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk
1/4 cup Orange Juice
1 cup Frozen Sweet Cherries
1 tbsp Raw Honey or Agave
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1 cup Ice
