Exercise not only helps to improve your body, health and mood; it also helps to benefit your skin.

Regular exercise can help your complexion. If you get in a regular workout in, you are likely to increase blood flow and circulation. This helps promote increased delivery of oxygen and nutrients to skin cells and keep them vital and increasing collagen production (keeping wrinkles at bay). In addition to providing oxygen, blood flow also helps carry away free radicals from working cells. Exercise also helps ease stress which can help improve acne and conditions such as eczema.

Choose a physical activity that you enjoy and have fun! Paddle boarding is one of my favorite ways to get a great core workout. Paddle boarding is a killer workout, particularly for the core muscles; it’s easy on the joints; and it improves balance. One hour of paddle-boarding, canoeing or rowing at a moderate pace burns about 475 calories per hour (calculated for a 150lb woman).
