Solving incontinence using EMSella as seen on Channel 5’s Twin Cities Live!!
DON’T LET INCONTINENCE TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE
Women frequently suffer the most from symptoms of incontinence due to factors like pregnancy and childbirth which weaken pelvic floor muscles. These weakened muscles directly contribute to bladder leakage. However, your doctor can treat these symptoms quickly, effectively and non-invasively with results that last and no downtime.
Common causes of incontinence include:
- Pregnancy
- Childbirth
- Overactive bladder
- Weakened bladder muscles
- Menopause

What is BTL EMSella?
BTL EMSella is a non-surgical and non-invasive treatment for stress or urge urinary incontinence. Patients sit comfortably in a chair in their regular clothes. The chair focuses on targeted tissue in the pelvis, strengthening muscles and restoring the support of the pelvic organs. The vaginal walls are tightened, and incontinence is decreased.
How does it work?
The EMSella chair utilizes High-Intensity Focused ElectroMagnetic technology (HIFEM) to stimulate the entire pelvic floor at once. A single BTL EMSella session brings thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions, comparable to thousands of Kegels, that build up muscle strength and restore the support of the pelvic organs. The unique chair design of EMSella allows women to remain fully clothed for treatment, with no pain or downtime.
BACKED BY SCIENCE
- 95% of treated patients reported significant improvement in their quality of life.
- 2/3’s of the treated patients reduced or totally eliminated the use of hygienic pads.
Am I a candidate for EMSella?
EMSella is a great option for women of any age who desire a solution for urinary incontinence and improvement in their quality of life. Let your treatment provider know if you have or have had any of the following possible contraindications for treatment: cardiac pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, implanted neurostimulators, electronic implants, metal implants, drug pumps, hemorrhagic conditions, anticoagulation therapy, heart disorders, or recent surgical procedures (muscle contraction may disrupt healing in the treatment area). Pregnant or nursing women cannot undergo the EMSella treatment.
Statistics show that 1 in every 4 women aged between 30 and 59 years are affected by urinary incontinence (loss of bladder control), which presents itself in three forms: stress (leakage during physical activity, laughing, sneezing), urge (strong and sudden), and mixed (combination of stress and urge). It is caused by a weakening of the muscles within the pelvic floor region, often a result of childbirth, menopause and the natural aging process.
How many treatment sessions will I need?
For optimal results, it is recommended to have 6 treatments, with two treatments a week. Then, we recommend having one maintenance treatment every 4-6 months. Completing a full treatment series is necessary to maximize treatment efficacy. You may need additional treatments depending on the severity of your condition.
One session of BTL EMSella is 28 minutes long. 28 minutes on EMSella is equivalent to 11,200 kegels. You will remain fully clothed during the treatment. As you sit on the chair, you will experience a gradually increasing tingling feeling and muscle contractions. Daily activities may be resumed immediately after the treatment
How fast will I notice results?
You may observe improvement after a single session. The results will typically continue to improve over the next few weeks. A recent clinical study demonstrated that 95% of patients treated reported satisfaction and significant improvement in their quality of life following six treatments. Additionally 67% of treated patients totally eliminated or decreased the use of hygienic pads in day-to-day life.
