For Those That Shy Away From Camera Close-Ups

Acne scarring affects millions of Americans, often making people self-conscious and less confident in social and work settings. Most have tried everything available on the market such as CO2 Lasers, acid peels, countless over the counter products, prescriptions and more. They are usually hesitant to try anything new because of past disappointments.

In the upcoming months, we will be sharing the story of one of our acne scarring patients who was treated last year with Bellafill and also earlier this year with INFINI and LASEmd. She will be taking you along on her emotional journey of healing as finally she is getting the results she has always been wishing for. The unique combination of treatments we offer for scarring caused by cystic acne damage have shown tremendous improvement in filling in the indentations, normalizing collagen structure and smoothing the texture of the skin.

We treat acne scars in a few different ways:

  • INFINI treats acne scars through a process called micro needling fractional radiofrequency. This system delivers controlled radiofrequency energy through ultra-fine needles to puncture the skin and deliver heat to break down scars that lie deep under your skin. Acne scars lie UNDER your skin – this is the collagen we want to target at several precise depths to stimulate new and a more regulated structured collagen platform. The heat also helps regulate oil production reducing future acne breakouts and shrinking pore size.
  • Bellafill fades acne scars by adding volume to them, bringing them to the level of the surrounding skin and keeping them there long-term. Scars can also be released and lifted using our subcision technique freeing the anchor of the scar.
  • LASEmd is a finishing laser perfecting the surface of the skin. This laser resurfaces the skin to allow new skin to grow, diminishes brown spots, exfoliates to smooth skin, shrinks pores with very little downtime or discomfort.

More information about these treatments for acne will be introduced in our upcoming newsletters featuring photos and the journaling of our patient’s experience with these procedures to treat her acne scarring.

We invite you to learn more about our acne treatments during our Bellafill Event Week April 23-26 or simply come in for a complimentary consultation.
