Q) Why am I asked to call my pharmacy for refills, even when my prescription says I have no refills left?
A) Pharmacies often need written verification with your personal information and detailed dosing instructions. Communication via fax provides the fastest and safest route for everyone to verify the information and the usual response time is within the hour. Calling us directly may delay your refill. It takes considerably longer for the pharmacist and provider to talk over the phone; we also may not have all the contact information required for where to request your refill. If you have a dosage change please call us or let the pharmacist know and they will note it on the fax for us to authorize. ~ Sarah Sankey, R.N.
